A little about me...
Personal Background
I always had a wide variety of interests. It was always difficult to pin just one thing down. As soon as I found something that sparked my interest, I would fight through the fire to learn every little thing about it, then move onto the next curiosity. Until Nutrition...

The more I dove into it, the more questions I had. The more I learned, the more my own life made sense. It became clear that Science was calling me- and I was ready to commit.

My journey into Nutrition was a long, winding one.
Academic Background
I graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a B.S. in Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics in May of 2017. I received multiple awards for my undergraduate academic research studying treatments in Diabetes and Obesity.
I was awarded the Phi Kappa Phi Research Award and placed Gold overall in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the EureCa! conference hosted by the University of Tennessee in 2017.
I immediately enrolled in a graduate program and began my thesis work for the masters program in Cellular and Molecular Nutrition at UTK.

With a strong understanding of scientific and research methods, I apply my insight and comprehension of heady, technical literature and craft scientific discoveries into more readily digestible content for the general public. I have worked on a variety of topics, including nutritional methods of the microbiome, vitamins, cancer research, metaboloic diseases, and innovative medicine techniques.

I've worked on a variety of projects, both large and small. As a consultant, I've established strong relationships with both start-ups and more tenured commercial ventures,

I began at the University of Tennessee studying German and International Business until my mother became very ill. I took some time off from school to help my mother through this illness. During this time, I realized that it was time to reevaluate my life. Sometimes difficult times can prove to illuminate the things that are most important in life.

After taking time off, I realized that all the questions I had lead to the health sciences. The more I thought about how important it was to be healthy, and learn about how diseases like this occur, I found myself looking into the Nutrition program at the University of Tennessee.
